Euro
Info Centers are SME Information networks with the financial support of the
Enterprise Directorate- General of the European Commission in order to provide
exchange of economic, legal, social, technical and financial information
within the SME's in
Europe
and to accelerate their adaptation to European Union Common Market.
Another aim of the centers is to cause EC and SMEs to become closer to
each other. With approximately 300 SMEs in 42 countries, the data to
communicate the information at European scale to SMEs, to prepare SME-oriented
politics the EU needs is aimed. The function EICs take upon is to fulfill this
information exchange.
Within
this sphere the EICs that the EC designates as “ the first stop “ are expected
to meet the need of information SMEs use for EUs studies, to help and to guide
SMEs during their process with EU institutions and give assistance services to
EC for its SME-oriented programmes. Enterprise Directorate-General of the
European Commission aims converting EU into the most competitive and data-based
economy of the world by 2010. After the success of EICs within EU, EC has
decided to establish EICs at Eastern European and
Mediterranean
countries.

Project is conducted by approximately 300 EICs at 42 countries including
Austria , Belgium , Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria , Chile , Crotia , Cyprus ,
Czech Republic , Denmark , Egypt , Estonia , Finland , France , Germany ,
Hungary , Iceland , Israel , Italy , Jordan , Kosovo , Latvia , Lebanon ,
Lithuania , Luxemburg , Malta , Montenegro , Netherlands , Norway , Poland ,
Portugal , Romania , Spain , Sweden , Switzerland , Syria , Serbia , Slovakia ,
Slovenia , Turkey , Tunisia , United Kingdom.

Chamber of Industry has merged to EIC Network with its over 300 centres as at
01.01.2004 carrying the tender of the same date. And ıts code has ben
registered as EIC TR705 Konya. EICs, as a part of the wide network are
consisting a great advantage to
Konya
and neighbor provinces with the developed hardware, efficiency and current
information. To acknowledge European Market, to be familiar with business
cooperation and financial instruments, EICs are important and can be designated
as a First Stop to concretize the studies towards being an international
chamber centre.

direct enterprises to the establishment that can meet their need for other

distribute valuable information for European enterprises to other EICs in EU

answer questions related to

and neighbor provinces about general, legal statistical and administrative
topics coming from EC and member countries,

enable the distribution of every data related to EU establishing a sub-info
network,

organize conferences, seminars and other activities about EU,

from these above implied services EICs also will serve in the below mentioned
fields by using technological communication techniques such as internet, wap,
pocket-mail. The standard services will be free. However the ones which are to
be dealt with profoundly will be held subject to a certain amount of price and
business cooperation services about technical, commercial, financial, joint
venture will be provided.
